I m not sure if it deserves the second star It was just really predictable, LDS cliche fiction I usually don t read this kind of stuff for a reason.

I really liked this book Maggie couldn t seem to say, no, to anyone Not her obnoxious brother in law, who was constantly assuming that she was available at a moments notice to watch his two adorable children or any other family member that assumed that just because she was a single 4th grade teacher and had summers free of work that she didn t have other obligations for her timelike finishing her requested manuscript for her mystery novel Maggie didn t mind watching Caitlin and Robert especially since she loved children and her recently deceased only sister s children had a permanent place in her heart, but the timing was all wrong, but she did it anyway and while Brad was off finding jobs, she was playing mom and trying to write on the side Then her 80 year old grandmother, her only other living relative, her parents had died in a plane crash starts having health issues not allowing her to live by herself, she feels the weight of all her responsibilities She gets an appointment with the best geriatrics specialist, David Rosenberg He becomes than Isabelle s doctor but also a caring friend One who is single, but wish strong jewish heritage Over time he gets handed the Book of Mormon along with a book about Parley P Pratt s autobiography and finds that he can t put them down He struggles with finding proof of their trufulness, but with the missionaries help he finds that burning of the Holy Ghost Although he knows it will be hard to break away from his families beliefs, he can t deny what he knows is true in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints He also finds that he has found Maggie to be his soul mate and after finding the truth of the gospel without her knowing of his searching, he asks her to marry him She is able to finish her writing and even get a book published due to David s help with watching her ailing grandmother and her other charges.

Forget the Relief Society Dr David Rosenberg makes house calls David is drawn to Maggie and her grandmother, a new patient Maggie s family is LDS She is a returned missionary, and faithful member wanting, and waiting for, a temple marriage David truly believes in his Jewish faith and is looking for a Jewish wife They are up front with each other and become good friends Their feelings for each other become obvious I ve only known two Jewish men in my life who joined the LDS Church Their families did not support them in their decision They are strong and wonderful members.

Wasn t a huge fan I felt the author got caught up in the details of each setting that actually creating a plot The conversations between the characters were laughable because they weren t realistic The language used between characters isn t what would really be used unless they were all PhD s in literature.

I am glad I read Picture Perfect first or this one would have been my first and last Beverly King book ever Why not just 1 star then it has a nice spirit, even if it was dumb.

Quick fun read A little to predictable and way to unrealistic, but fun.

This book was off to a slow start, so much so that I began to wonder if the story was headed anywhere Eventually, it became a nice story.

This is a good relaxing alternative to a chick flick I enjoyed the development of the characters and the dynamics of their relationships.
