    je suis mue cet l un des romans inoubliables.Cet roman me marqu e non seulement par la debut simple et plus au moins ordinaire, jeune fille baby sister de 15 ans Rebbeca et un enfant se trouve dans un parc.Rebbeca bavarde prudemment avec des gens,puis elle disparue avec Justen apr s trouv e assasinee.mais aussi des messages de l crivain sur la r action de chacun de nous face une tragique ,soit perte d enfant ou rejet de soci t ou m me un accident change notre vie ou la peur et le non acceptation.bl mer l autre et d pression nerveuse ou m me comportement d un pervers lors d une trag die chacun r agit selon son coutume,et ses principes.une excellente roman psychologique et policier 15 .

    Entertaining suspense The characters were ok for me, but this was quick to read.

    Rebecca est une jeune baby sitter qui dispara t soudainement en plein jour dans un parc alors qu elle gardait Justin, un petit gar on de six mois D s lors, tout le monde y va de ses suspicions concernant cette affaire dans la ville de Taylorsville Les uns vont accuser Doug, d j condamn pour harc lement sexuel dans un lyc e, alors que d autres vont soup onner, Ellen, une femme ayant perdu son enfant Les relations entre les personnages se d voilent peu peu au fil de l histoire et l auteure nous fait vite comprendre qu ils ont tous des liens, rendant encore plus difficile pour le lecteur de trouver le coupable Si le r sum m intriguait beaucoup, ce n tait pas la meilleure lecture que j ai pu faire parmi tous les romans de Patricia MacDonald Bien au del du thriller, qui est assez simpliste, l auteure met en avant surtout diff rentes facettes de femmes travers ses personnages Ainsi nous avons Rebecca la jeune fille qui a t kidnapp , Heater une lyc enne qui avait accus Doug, un professeur de son lyc e de la harceler mais que personne ne prenait au s rieux, Donna la m re du b b qui a t kidnapp , Ellen qui n a jamais r ussi vivre le deuil de son fils Personnes disparues ne m a donc pas vraiment conquis ce roman s apparente plus un thriller psychologique, qu un thriller sombre.

    I binge read this book in 3 days and it left me speechless The way all the story and the characters are combined is impressive and the whole plot is amazing.

    a woman with a daughter, the husband was accused by a teenage student of molesting her she was the police chiefs daughter he was found innocent but he was really guiltyat the same time a teenage babysitter and the baby disappeared her body was found but the baby was still missing the man was accused of this as he was seen talking and touching her before she disappearedturned out a crazy woman married to a man being let out of prison killed the girl and took the baby as her own they got in a car accident with the woman and her husband he later died drunk falling off a hill and the wife married her former priest.

    I found no suspense or thrills and to even mention her name in the same breath with Mary Higgins Clark is a crime It was just another ho hum predictable quick read I only finished it because it was a cold rainy afternoon
